Marko – Warden
Marko is the warden of three halls – Pembridge, Alban and Parsons. He hails from Croatia and works with computers. Marko lives in Pembridge with his wife, Ana, and daughters Dora and Lira. There is a lot to juggle between work, family and running three halls of residence! But there is always time for the residents if you’ve got any anything on your mind or fancy a drink.
Marko likes Ana’s food, a glass of wine, sports and talking to people. He also likes tidy and smiley students – make sure you’re one!
Lavanya – Assistant Warden
Lavanya’s the Assistant Warden here at Parsons. She spent her teenage years in the States, but returned to London to study for a degree in psychology. She now works as a researcher on a clinical trial as well as completing a PhD in mental health research. She doesn’t get much down time but when she does she spends it creating elaborate cakes and art pieces as well as travelling. Lavanya’s experience working in various therapeutic settings has meant that she’s met some amazing people with equally amazing stories to tell. She’s a great listener and always up for coffee if you fancy a chat!
Scott – Subwarden
Scott is the Subwarden at Parsons. Originally from Scotland, he is open and friendly and enjoys rambling (both in hills and with words). Whether it’s just a quick hello or a long chat, he’s always happy to hear from his friends and fellow students, and loves being able to help people in whatever way he can. When he’s not working on his PhD in theoretical physics, Scott can be found watching movies, out running, playing basketball, or eating large quantities of food. He can’t wait to meet you all, and is excited about spending some good times in the best Halls of Residence!
Merissa is a third year Mechanical Engineer. She is always very enthusiastic and enjoys doing all kinds of sports: swimming, cycling, running and especially playing Tennis. She also likes cooking or more specifically ‘caking’ so if it’s your birthday let her know and you might get a birthday cake! During her two years at Imperial she has joined many clubs and societies – there is something for everyone and its always good fun, but the best part is all the great people to meet. She is looking forward to meeting you and if you ever need anything (a chat, ingredients for some recipe, someone to wake you up in the mornings, help with Mech Eng…anything) just knock on her door 😀
Matas will be a third year Materials student at Imperial. In his free time he enjoys doing sports (basketball and volleyball are his favourites!!!), reading, and searching for nice street food throughout London on weekends. As procrastination is his best friend (or enemy), everyone is welcome to knock on his door anytime to have a chat or just ask for his help.
